Movie Review

Die Hard (1988)
This is one of the coolest films I have ever seen. The acting is really good, the story is well crafted, the characters are memorable and the movie is well-choreographed. The main character, John McClane is a very well written protagonist. He isn’t so big on being serious and can be witty at times, while that also doesn’t overshadow him. The antagonist, Hans is also very memorable, with him being charismatic to the point of being likable while also doing some extremely monstr

Sonic the Hedgehog (2020)
It’s fine. The film overall is cute but nothing great obviously. Tom and Sonic relationship is sweet and Sonic is adorable. However, it’s not very SONIC. There are little to no references from the games or any type of media. But, I think it being fine is sort of what the movie needed because of its dire circumstances. Either way, it’s a fine watch. I will probably not watch it again soon. MY RATINGS : Story: 7/10 CGI Quality: 8/10 Voice Acting & Sound Design: 7/10 Character

Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End
It is not that bad. Okay it’s not perfect, in fact far from it. However, it’s still very good for a sequel and I don’t think it gets enough credit for that. First, the CGI in a day and age where CGI really sucks, this is surprisingly good, like even 20 years later it looks good. And with Davy Jones and his crew being sea creatures, makes it very good for all the scenes that were shot on the ships and in the water and not making it look jarring. Then the characters, very good

Ponyo
It's just cute...that's it! Well, that's not all but it's such a nice film to watch when you had a long day, the designs are really cute, the animation is wonderful (but you already knew that), and the relationship between Sosuke and Ponyo's relationship is adorable. But I do believe that the movie would be better off being a slice-of-life then having a plot. And I don't mean I didn't like the conflict between Ponyo being a human, no I mean I think it shouldn't have felt tha

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
Now, the movie overall is amazing, characters are well written (Gwen is now my favorite), the animation is just beautiful (even that isn't doing it justice) and the music is great (especially the end credits song and Self Love). However, the story is too bloated and the pacing is very messy. I liked the idea but the execution is a bit of a mixed bag and I liked the simplicity of the first spider verse film. Hopefully the next film, Beyond The Spider-verse, will finish things

Inside Out 2
I was starting to lose hope after Pixar failures in recent years, but Inside Out 2 changed that. Of course it is not a perfect movie but it was still a very fun time! I like how these mature themes can resonate with an older audience while still making it understandable for younger audience, which is a formula I have missed for a while. You can tell where all these new emotions are coming from. I also like how Anxiety slowly realizes that she is being too hard on Riley near t

The Wild Robot
God, where do I begin... Well I could start by saying that this film looks ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. I love how everything looks and each frame looks like a painting! Then the voice acting, it was surprisingly very good, especially Roz's voice and transition from robotic to more human was great. Although the third act fight felt a bit like it was shoved in (especially since we don't get to know anything about the villain). But the found family side of things was very touching and
